Dave,

I write naturally and I never knew I wrote those words the number of times you have mentioned. And it is not for SEO as you can see they are not keywords that people search for. No one is going to search for 'find what your' or 'your readers want' and even if they did, there is no need for so many repetitions to rank in Google.

Will try to reduce the time I mention the words in my headline from next time.

Happy to see I was useful in this example! I agree you have to study the few (in my case) comments you get and make them multiply in a new post or as a way of steering you onward. For my blogspot blog I have some popular tutorial posts that are based on comments and frustrations from other blogs — where the reader found a blogger hack that was "not working" or too difficult to follow. Often it's a matter of warning the novice of 'pitfalls' to avoid and providing more hand-holding.

Good point there. Finding the keywords which your readers use to find you and optimizing it more will surely help you in getting new readers as well as find topics to write about.

Forums are idea mines! Infact, one of most popular posts on our blog was because we were asked by a reader about that on a forum.

I also use forums to get ineresting feedback from people for my poll posts (and at the same time, getting some traffic too.)

Just a few days ago, I started sending personal Thank You Emails (without any plugins) to readers and the replies also had some good ideas for future posts.

I never paid much attention to Stats. I will start now!
