Posted by on 21st Feb 2009 Blogging 12 comments

To become a better blogger, you can write good posts, solve problems of your readers and do it many other ways. But there are certain things which you have to find about yourself, to become a better blogger.

I wrote posts on external factors like forums and free services, which help you, become a better blogger. You would have also read posts in the previous weeks on the internal factors like preparing your mind and some other things that you could do to become a better blogger. This post talks about the internal factors and it is about the 3 things which you can find about yourself today, to become a better blogger.

1. The Right Time To Write A Blog Post

This is something which most people either don’t know about or doesn’t give it a try. Writing a blog post on a specific time of a day every time will help you a lot. Let’s say, you wrote a blog post yesterday and you got the full flow at that time. Push yourself to write a blog post today at the same time. If you are not able to write, brainstorm blog post ideas before and write the post on that specific time which you have found to be the best one for you.

Keep doing this for one or two weeks and you will find that your blog posts come out better when you write at that specific time. After two weeks, you will also be able to think of an idea for a blog post and write it without any block.

2. The Thing(s) That Is/Are Blocking Your Creativity

Your blog posts will be a pleasure to read and your ideas for blog post will be unique only when your creativity is high. But is your creativity working at its best? If not, what is blocking your creativity? Sometimes you have a certain job on mind and that blocks you from thinking. If this is the case, finish the job that is causing the trouble or try to write it down in a paper as a ‘to do’ with high priority. Now clear your mind and let your creative part of the brain do the work.

3. The Way To Motivate Yourself

There are days when you need that extra bit of motivation to write better blog posts. So how do you motivate yourself? You can listen to an inspirational audio or you can see your blog comments or you could even see the money you have earned from blogging to get motivated. But what motivates you the most? For me, inspirational audios work better. I always have at least half a dozen inspirational audios in my mp3 player. Sit down and analyze what motivates you the most and do that every time when you need that extra bit of motivation.

Do you have a specific time in a day when you write your blog posts? Is there anything in your mind that is not letting you to concentrate on your work? Do you know the best way to motivate yourself? Please share your views in the comments.

Thanks Ramkarthik for the tips. I never thought using inspirational audio for motivate myself writing more and better. I do admit sometimes I lack the motivation for doing what I set out to do, maybe this will be a solution. I guess for me is more a question of getting in the mood to write not necessarily a lack of inspiration.

    Ramkarthik,

Do you make your own audios or do you have another source for them? If it's the second case, can you share some?

    Thanks

    Chris,

I have sources from where I can get motivational audios. I'll try to make a list of free motivational audios in few days. But here are two great sites that I recommend to everyone who wants to listen to some inspiring audios.

    1. Robin Sharma's free podcasts
    http://www.robinsharma.com/success_podcast_ic.htm

    2. Steve Pavlina's free audios
    http://www.stevepavlina.com/audio/

    Hope it helps

    Thanks for your comment

    Tom,
