Google PageRank Has Been Updated

Google PageRank UpdateIt seems that Google has did another PageRank update. Some new websites I developed recently have acquired a PageRank whilst others have not so there’s a chance they are still updating.

You can check your blogs PageRank in your browser if you have the Google Toolbar installed. If not, you can check it out at a PageRank checking website like PRChecker.

Has your blog had a PageRank increase? :)

  1. Wesley says:

Well, my blog is only 2 weeks old, and it went to PR2.

Actually, I didn’t check beforehand, so perhaps it already was PR2 from a previous owner.

  2. David Hobson says:

I dont bother with pagerank anymore it means nothing anyway.

My main blog went to a pr2 with no paid posts or links on it and months of careful backlink building.

My other blog with 99% paid posts and 10 paid links and no link building is now a pr3.

So how can pr have any value

  3. Baz L says:

I’ve given up on the whole pagerank game. Both of my blogs just dropped from 3 to 2 for no apparent reason.

  4. Mine went from 3 to 1 and I have posted more 90% more content consistently in the last
2 months than the previous 6. Plus I even got a couple of trackbacks. Maybe I was too late for the quarter? IDK. Would like to know how to find out why. Is there a way to find out without paying someone?

  5. TechZoomIn says:

    Kevin,

My TechZoomIn got PR4. Am very happy that it is only 3months old and jumped from PR0 to PR4 :)

Bloggingtips.com got a change or PR5 before update too?

  6. Blog Expert says:

This does not excite me at all.

  7. ATOzTOA says:

  8. Rick says:

    My homepage went from a PR2 to a PR3.

  9. Woohoo! I got updated to a PR of 5 for http://www.thisismyurl.com! Now, all I need to do is start making some money with it. :)

  10. My blog finally got a PR!! yaayy! :D

  11. Dennis Edell says:

Main blog went from 2-3 and one brand new one scored a 1. Very happy overall.

  12. Eye Tests says:

None of my sites changed for some reason but like a few others have mentioned PageRank at times does seem to be a little random. Although having said that, I still much prefer to have a higher PageRank than a lower one.

  13. Ajay says:

No changes out here. Both my blogs remained on PR4

  14. 01Bri-Guy says:

I’ve been learning a lot about pagerank while I’ve been looking to start my own website. Thanks for the info!! I’m just trying to find a place where I can get cheap hosting. I want to start a blog about cars.

  15. Donace says:

the PR for my main site stayed a PR4 with a few internal pages gaining/losing PR.

overall not to fussed…im kinda sad it didn’t go up to PR5…but hey maybeit did…toolbar updates are a delayed metric ;)

  16. TechZoom – BloggingTips has been a PR5 for well over a year now. :)

  17. Anindya says:

Google always crawls the web and update information probably for every website. So, PageRank update is regular matter.

  18. Blogger Tips says:

Had some happy results with my older blogs .. my new blog ( which is now my main focus ) only got a PR1 .. I was expecting another month to work on the PR campaign .. oh well a few more months and I will be happy with it I’m sure. :)

  19. I did a check on Cupid Blogger’s PR and glad to see that my recently launched love blog (one month old) is ranked PR One finally after one month of hard work.

Happy new year to you and wish you have a great new year ahead.

  20. Mine went from 3 to 4 :-)

  21. Ana says:

I went from a pr0 to pr4 on 44 days on my new Blog. So I was very happy about that. I worked hard on this blog, implementing a lot of new information that I learned along the way.

  22. Sunny says:

    My 3 blogs got pr3 and about 5 went t0 pr2 from pr1.

Now I am not much worried about pr because pr is important if I have to sell. I am these days looking to increase traffic to my blogs.

  23. My both blogs are currently at PR 3 with just 3 months of weekly blogging. Has PR lost its value.
