Moderate WordPress Comments From Your Desktop
I came across a cool little script the other day that lets you moderate your WordPress blogs comments via your desktop. Using Adobe AIR, the script lets you :
- Viewing unmoderated comments.
- Dock and system tray notifications of the number of unmoderated comments.
- Accept, delete, and spam comments from within the desktop client.
- Close application window, or minimize it to the system tray while running.
- Shows the Gravatar icons for the user who posted the comment.
I only moderate comments with links on my blogs however if you manually approve all the comments on your blog then I’m sure you will find this incredibly useful. Worth checking out

Author comments are in a darker gray color for you to easily identify the posts author in the comments

Wordpress is truly starting to become the ultimate one stop shop when it comes to blogging. The next closet thing in terms of functionality is Joomla and it doesn’t even compare.
Interesting. Being always in my blog for one reason or another, I wonder if this would be better/worse/or indifferent to the new integration of the ability to moderate within the admin itself….now out with WP 2.7.
Which I have yet to upgrade to anyway. LOL
That is awesome. I have been looking for something like this for a while so hopefully it will fulfill what I’m looking for.
Yeah it’s a cool script. Reminds me a lot of the Twitter client which uses Adobe Air.
If you moderate comments every day you will find it very useful.
Thanks for the tip. I really like WP, its very easy and I like that so many upgrades that make life easier and using WP fun. I find other blogging sites are very limited.
