Twitter Roundup

There have been a lot of Twitter news in the last week so I thought I’d do a quick roundup for you all

* p.s. I am aware that Twitter is hardly ever out the news!

Britney Spears is now using Twitter

Zac Johnson recently reported that Britney Spears is now on Twitter, using the account name therealbritney. As I write this she has 4,488 followers and I wouldn’t be surprised if it topped the 10 thousand mark within the next week.

The lovely Lisa Bettany, a self confessed geek, doesn’t seem to be too pleased about this but it really doesn’t bother me. It’s no different to the number of celebrities who have created MySpace profiles in order to connect to their fans.

Who has the best tache on Twitter?

So who has the best moustache on Twitter? A question I’m sure you have all asked at one point in your lives. Thankfully Brian Carter is trying to resolve this debate once and for all in The 2008 TwitterStache Awards.

A fantastic collection of Twitter Tools

Brian Solis has posted a fantastic list of Twitter tools and services a few days ago. As someone who has reviewed a lot of Twitter services in the past I was surprised that I was unaware of several of them. I recommend checking it out.

What’s your Twitter Grade?

Twitter Grader is a site which measures the power of your Twitter profile. I got a grade of 62 out of 100 and an overall rank of 30,674 out of 88,327. Apparently ‘A grade of 62 means that the user scores higher than 62 percent of the other user profiles that have been graded’.

I can’t think of any real use for this other than the option to add another Twitter related button on your blog.
