BlogCatalog today launched a new search tool, similar to Technorati and Google’s Blog Search. The search tool searches through BlogCatalog’s directory, member blog posts, discussion areas, blog tags, post tags and more than 20 social networks.
I’ve did a few searches and it’s pretty good, I recommend trying it out. If you want your own blog posts to appear in the results you need to sign up and submit your blog for review (currently 150,000+ blogs have done so!).

Thanks. Will look into it and find how it suits me.
Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try…
After all Blogcatalog is one of the best place to promote a blog.
The search results are indeed very good. This new feature will definitely give a major boost to BlogCatalog.
Glad to see you found our new search useful. We have tons of great stuff on BlogCatalog but finding it has always been cumbersome. With the new aggregate search you are much more likly to find what you are looking for in one step and maybe even find something you didnt know you were looking for. If you have any suggestions for improvement let us know.

Kevin, thanks for this thread. I'm glad you like BlogCatalog's new search. So do I – it's not perfect, but it's actually very good and I'm sure Daniel and the gang will improve it a lot over the next several months.
