It’s a good way to find hot topics for niche blogs/websites. If you throw up a site on a hot trend and there’s not much competition out there for it already then you can cash in quickly while it’s still hot.

I’ve done this often… but i’m always disappointed when I get the news 1st, and my traffic spikes, then a day later the big boys get a hold of the story and my page get pushed far back in the 4th “o” in goooooogle lol.

That is very good advice for using trends and news to get more traffic. It’s also a good way to find hot topics for niche blogs/websites. If you throw up a site on a hot trend and there’s not much competition out there for it already then you can cash in quickly while it’s still hot.
