I was reading an interview featuring Markus Frind of PlentyofFish.com. Mr. Frind’s site is the world’s largest online dating website. According to published reports, Markus pulls in over $10,000 to $20,000 a day from Google AdSense alone. His overall income is $5 million to $10 million a year.

Welcome to the 4th Reader Blog Critique. Last weeks critique of SlyVisions went well so thanks to all who took part, in particular Rarst and Banji who left long detailed replies.

Last week SEO blogger Alysson Fergison decided to remove the nofollow tag from comments to see if it generates more discussion on her blog. She is using Michele Marcucci’s WordPress plugin NoFollow Free, which lets the blog owner remove the nofollow tag from commenters with a certain number of posts.

In the short term she said it has worked like a charm however I am interested to see how this works out for her long term.

When publishing with Blogger, we can categorize our posts using “Labels”. Published posts which have labels attached produce a link to each label in the post-footer section which links to a page displaying all posts categorized under this label. We can also add a “Labels” widget which generates a list of all labels currently in use linking to posts in the appropriate category.
