Kevin MuldoonWill Yahoo Buzz take a chunk out of Digg?

Yahoo Buzz, the new social media site from Yahoo, is now online and looks very Digg like to say the least. It will be interesting to see how popular this new social site becomes. There are hundreds of digg clones on the net today (many using Pligg) but with the money and the traffic Yahoo has I’m sure it will become a popular site for bloggers in no time.

Might be worth trying Yahoo Buzz out the next few weeks so add a few buttons to your posts and see what traffic the site brings your blog. At the moment they seem to be focusing on USA audiences only but as long as your post is not specifically related to a non-USA region, it should be ok.

What do you think of Yahoo Buzz?

  1. I’m signing up for it right now. Like you said, Buzz has a ton of money at its feet. Let’s hope it gets used wisely :)

  2. Larry says:

It does look a like like Digg, I am already a member in the Yahoo community so I will try and see what traffic it brings.
    Tks for the Info

  3. Hadn’t even heard about it yet … but I’ll go check it out. Maybe if I read the TOS I won’t get banned like I was from Digg! LOL

So … are you allowed to “Buzz” your own posts or not? I had always read that I should “Digg” my own posts and then I was banned without warning and without notice.

I’d like to get off on the right foot with Buzz … so “school” me if you get a chance. *SmiLes* Suzanne
