I think Shannon Lilly over at infectedbybugs.com increased his count artificially.... he was hacked, and his subscribers went down, then when he came back, his count was down, and rose over 150 in like 5 days, at almost a rate of 30 a day... when previously he had not been gaining at nearly anywhere close to that amount.... and, it all started rising when he was trying to sell his blog at sitepoint and wasnt getting the amount he wanted for it... and his subscriber amount keeps rising and rising.
