Today sees the release of a WordPress Plugin which I’m sure will be popular. Pawan Agrawal from Max Blog Press contacted me a few weeks ago to give me a preview of this new plugin which aims to make adding advertisements to your blog quicker and easier.
By default, the plugin lets you add banners to 4 zones : Within the post, the sidebar (via a widget), top of first post and bottom of first post. You can also add new zones. The add zone feature is extremely flexible. You can align banners at the top of the post or the bottom, you can align them to the left, center or right or you can randomize it.
The plugin also allows you to add several banners for an area and rotates them for you and clickthroughs and impressions are tracked too. For a full demonstration of what this plugin does please view the video ‘A blogger in the mission impossible‘.
This is undoubtedly a great plugin however there is one drawback from using this plugin, all banner ads have a ‘Powered by Max Banner Ads’ link underneath them. The link isn’t particularly obtrusive though I personally woudln’t want ‘powered by’ links under my banners, particularly within posts (though you can add your Clickbank ID to the link so that you can get commissions for any sales generated via your blog). Thankfully you can remove the powered by link for $47. My advice is to download the plugin and test it out. If you find this plugin solves all your banner problems then you can always remove the link at a later date.
Overall, I was quite impressed with the flexibility this plugin offers. I recommend downloading it and trying it out

Sounds like a good option for people that are not very technical, and who dont like messing around to much with their template files.
