Tomorrow, June 17th 2008, is the official launch of FireFox 3, the latest FireFox client which has been in development for a whopping 34 months!
To coincide with the release Mozilla are trying to set a Guiness World Record for the most downloads in 24 hours. I used Opera for years but switched my main browser to FireFox a year or two ago and haven’t looked back.
You can make a pledge to download the browser tomorrow if you like but it’s so near the release date I’m not sure if there’s much point! Can’t wait to see the improvements they have made and all the new features!

I’ve actually been wondering when this new version would come out
I’ve been hearing all these great things about FF3, but I didn’t want to test out the beta…

Does this new version still use twice as much memory as Internet Explorer?
