RamkarthikMixx Is Not For You If You Say YES To Even Any One Of The Three Questions

You would have been reading my posts on mixx every Saturday on this blog for the past one month or so. Some of you would have tried mixx already. Mixx is a good social site where almost any blogger has a chance to get to the front page irrespective of the experience of the blogger. If the post is good and presented well, it can make to the front page easily and it isn’t like many other social sites where a post needs to be extraordinarily good and the blog should be very famous.

Though mixx is a good site, it is surely not for you if you say YES to even of the three things below:

1. Do You Get Addicted Easily?
Mixx, as I have said many times, is a very good site and almost any user can submit post and make it reach the front page. Due to the high chances of hitting the front page with submissions, users get addicted to it. It is such a great place that if you get addicted to things easily, you really should stay away from mixx. One more thing with mixx is that, it is comparatively easier to become super user in mixx unlike few other social sites.

2. Do You Submit Spam Links?
If you are a person who submits spam links or links of posts with tons of ads in the page or even posts that are of poor quality, mixx is certainly not for you. Mixx is a growing site and it doesn’t have many members now. They can easily find spam articles if submitted by any user and since the number posts submitted to mixx is comparatively very less, users get to see many submissions and they can easily vote down for the article.

3. Are You Selfish?
When it comes to social media, especially mixx, you cannot be selfish. Mixx allows its users to submit the posts from their blogs. But as a good mixx user, you should use properly and not take undue advantage of it. You can submit posts from your blog now and then. Also when you are asking for any of your friend to vote for your submission, be ready to give a vote for their submission too. You have to give something to receive something. It should be a two way process. You can stop voting for those who ask votes from you and do not vote for your submissions. Like wise, if you don’t vote for your friend’s submission and expect him/her to vote for your post, you will only get yourself removed from their friend’s list.

Was your answer YES to any of the above questions? If you said YES to even any one of the above question, are you ready to correct yourself and be a good user at mixx? Please share it in the comments.

I was just recently introduced to Mixx and I have to say I like it.

I was a little put off at first by the amount of emails I received from the system telling me about new group messages, but there is a quick easy fix by editing the reporting options. I’ve yet to first page one of my articles, but then again only one of mine has been submitted so far.

    Thanks for the great post.

  4. I agree, it’s a fantastic system, although I must say I’m guilty of #3. Since our blog is new, I’m dedicating all of my time to promoting it. I’ll try and remedy my ways!

    Nice post!
