As most of you know, Google updates the PageRank of websites all the time (some say a daily basis) however this figure is only released every few months to webmasters, most notably on Google’s Toolbar.
Courtney Tuttle posted about this update this morning*. PageRank is not something I check a lot if I’m honest but I checked out the PR of websites I did know the PR of earlier today and nothing seemed to have changed. However, I checked again an hour or so again and noticed some websites getting a PR increase (BloggingTips seems to have gone from a 4 to a 5). Apologies for not posting about this earlier today but I didn’t want to post about it unless I was certain an update was actually happening.
If you have time, you should check to see if your blog’s PR has changed. Although there are loads of sites which allow you to check your PR online, I encourage you to install Google Toolbar as you can easily view the PR of all the pages of your blog.
BloggingTips seems to have went up by one, has anyone else seen a jump in their PR? If so, leave a comment

I spotted changes, but not on my blogs.

You convinced me, I have downloaded the Google toolbar after resisting for so long.
About page rank, mine was always 3, but although the toolbar does not give a numerical figure, the bar is at the halfway mark indicating a 5.
Needless to add, I was elated so I went checking on other sites, hence:
checkpageranking.com/ says its 3.
blogflux.com/ says its 3.
seochat.com/seo-tools/pagerank-lookup/ says 5.
prchecker.info/pagerank-check-button.php says 5.
.urlpagerank.com/pr/pagerank.php says 5.
sitepagerank.net/ says 5.
Why the couple of differences?
I’ll accept the five (5) any day but it raises a question, aside from the toolbar, is there a best or more reliable site for checking page rank?
Thanks Kevin!

Morning,
According to the Google PR toolbar, my ranks are:
Virtual Coach - PR4
AskOwlbert - PR4
Barbara Ling - PR5
According to other tools, the pagerank hasn’t changed. ‘Tis most unique.
Data points,
Barbara

Otto - If you search for ‘check pagerank’ in google you will find loads of sites which let you check (most of which use the same script). In my opinion, checking via googles webmaster tools or their toolbar is the most reliable.

I have noticed changes and PR updates on other sites but none of my sites show any updates

The sites I care about:
SimpleTracking.com - PR5 (Same)
YTechie.com - PR0 - At least it’s not undefined anymore! I expected this since I just started it, and I’ve been moving a lot of stuff around.

I am quite pleased to announce that Webmann Marketing has gone from a PR3, for a couple of years now, to a PR4 causing me to break into my Happy Dance.
