John LeschinskiEasy Link Blog.

Written by John Leschinski from Leschinski Design on April 12, 2008

In the process of redesigning my portfolio I decided to upgrade how I presented links to select articles here at blogging tips. Previously it was a static and simple list of links off the to the side, but I wanted to simplify the addition of new article links and have them included in my RSS feed. I looked at a few plugins for asides and link blogs, but I chose a much simpler and convenient method, but If you are not using FeedBurner then this isn’t for you.

Register an account on ma.gnolia.com. If you already have an account, keep in mind that it will publish everything you bookmark. I created an account on ma.gnolia to keep my personal and professional bookmarks separate, and keeping those personal items off my website. Once you have that set up add a bookmark to get a feel for how it works.

Next go into your feeds page, link located at the bottom of you bookmarks titled “More”, and copy the Link Roll code into your website where desired. Once saved and uploaded you should see the results immediately. You now have a link blog.

To add this data to your feed you just go into your FeedBurner account under optimize and select link splicer from the left hand menu.
Here you can add your account you just registered and feedburner will include it in your feed automagically.

Done. You can see mine in action here.
