I used to keep a mote in my pad when I have some new ideas.

But I've something to say on the following tips:

    * Keep checking regularly on which keywords are the most popular
    * Incorporate a keyword phrase into your title
    * Make sure that your keywords have meaning and are relevant
    * Make your keyword phrase contain only two or three words
    * Include your keyword in the body of your content as much as possible

1) how profitable would it be to search for most popular keywords if great contents are already present in the web with those keywords?
2) Now modern keyword analysis put more stress on billboard test and voice test, so why to go only for two or three words as keyword?
3) Why to include my keyword as much as possible in the content? Won't it make it keyword spammy? We need to write content for our readers and not for SEs keeping a good semantic balance.

Thanks for all these great tips. Blogging is more that just providing great contents on your blog for your readers. Nowadays your visitors expect a lot more or look for fresh new ideas in your blog. I think it may be good to obtain readers' feedback on current interests, fears, and general business objectives to determine what new articles to post.

Some great points Jason, thanks

I like to carry a note pad with me all the time. I even tried using a voice activated record by my bed because I get a lot of great ideas after putting my head on the pillow.

I got up the next morning to 2 hours of recorded snoring. I think it was my wife.

I currently use Bloglines to follow about 100 blogs. A great way to start the day, along with a few coffees.

I have been focusing on longtail keyword phrases but I like to have no less than 3 words in keyword phrases and I try to get between 2% and 7% keyword density in my posts.

Ok here's another one for you. Change your permalinks so your web address shows your post's heading and not a number. Like he did with this blog.

Google permalinks if you want help on how to do it.

Great Tips. One tip you might have mentioned to your readers was having a domain name that is a hot keyword.
