Last week, I talked about using social networking sites to generate traffic. I personally don’t particularly enjoy interacting on those sites and dropping links to my work as I go, so I tend to prefer to write articles in the hope that someone else will submit them for me.

I’m frequently surprised how often I hear bloggers and even seasoned Web writers say they don’t know much about SEO. Or say they do know about SEO, and it turns out they simply know what a meta tag is. Even more often, I hear writers say they don’t even want to know about SEO. They think it isn’t necessary.
