How to Get Traffic Using the Content in Your Blog

Getting traffic to your blog or site is not always easy especially when it is new. If you have an old blog or if you have moved from blogger blog to WordPress, you can try this method. Even if you have pre-written content, you can use this technique to get traffic. It takes less time and is also effective. But if you choose to follow this technique, be sure you don’t copy and paste the same content which you have already written. Here’s how you can get traffic using the content in your blog:

Step 1: Article Directories
First, join in the popular article directories. I have had success with EzineArticles.Com and GoArticles.Com. There are many others. Take your time in analyzing the directories and join the best ones.

Step 2: Select the Content
Next step is to select the content which you want to post in the article directories. I suggest you to go for the best articles which didn’t get much attention from your blog readers and which are more than two months old.

Step 3: Rewrite the Article
Once you have selected the article, rewrite it. You don’t need to change every single word. Change around 40-50% of the article. This will make sure that your article doesn’t get marked as a copied article. Also don’t post the same rewritten article in more than one directory.

Step 4: Split the Article if it is Big
If you have a very big article, consider splitting it into two small articles. Very big articles don’t do well in the article directories. Say, if you have a post on “21 Ways to Earn Money Online”, split it into two posts. You can have one with headline “10 Ways I Use to Make Money Online” and “11 little Known Ways to Earn Money in the Internet”.

Step 5: Make it Keyword Rich
Before posting the article, make sure it is keyword rich. The articles in the article directories show up in Google search very easily and your article has more chances of getting to the first page of the search engine.

Step 6: Author Bio
This is the important part of the article. This will only help you to get traffic to your blog. After all you posted the article to get traffic. Have an interesting bio. Don’t make it too long or too short. If you have an article on the headline I stated above, you can have an author bio something like this:
“Wondering How to Implement the Methods without Much Hard Work? Visit my site.”

Once the article is posted in the article directory, you will start to see traffic coming to your blog.
