Well now that you have an idea of blogging and wants to have a chance to be a Problogger, do you take on every blogging gig which comes in your way or do you have a “selective process” when deciding which blogging gig to choose?
This is one of the most difficult situation that a blogger has to face in their blogging career. Though the chances of earning more lies on a bountiful of blogs, the chance of earning and focusing on your skills are dwindling in comparison. So, what would you choose?
Let me share to you my personal experience. When I was just starting out, I was handling 4 blogging gigs and most of these blogging gigs was for (gasp!) being a ghost blogger. One of the reasons why I agreed to that kind of set-up was for me to know more about the “ins and outs” of blogging and also for me to be exposed of the things which I need to do in order to market my blog. Managing these blogs were really hard because you have a schedule given by the client which you need to follow. As I grew tired of this very stressful lifestyle, I started to focus on blogging which could be considered as niche blogging. In this kind of set-up, I was given a chance to blog with my byline and also feature me as a “source expert” in that field.
In terms of monetary benefits, the handful blogging gig paid a lot but only when you total all of the earnings. When it comes to being a niche blogger, the first months were kind of hard but it became a lot better
as time passed by. It takes a lot of patience in order to have a so-called “reputation” in the blogging world but once you earned that, the rewards are definitely worth it.
Do you agree or disagree?

Dear Elaine,
How does one begin niche blogging and get paid?
Thanks.
