Wordpress themes and plugins for the week

PLUGINS

  1. Listdown Categories
An extension that will display the categories as a list or dropdown list, to show the number of posts per category or hide empty categories and more. Good for bloggers who have lot of categories arranged in stacks.(Most of us do -right?)
  2. Socialize Me
A nice plugin that gives custom messages for visitors from different social medias like Digg and StumbleUpon. It identifies them as to which site they are from and prompts them with messages.
  3. Randomizer plugin
This is an awesome plugin that allows you to display random posts on the blogs footer, which is every page.
  4. Spread this social bookmarking plugin
This is a good plugin that takes very less load on your server, while gives your readers the option to bookmark the article to all great social bookmarks.
  5. Captcha creator plugin
Just exactly what the name suggests it to be.

THEMES

  1. WP Andreas theme from Micfo
This is a clean XHTML/CSS theme from Andreas by Micfo. A nice one with grey backgrounds and gradients.
  2. Envy theme from WP Designer
This is a nice theme which is widgetized already, with rounded corners and tabs.
  3. Beautiful Day
A nice looking common theme with grey colors and rounded edges. Commonly used one, but I think it’s worth the mention.
  4. Cool elegant blue
At the first look you will mistake it for a Digg like layout. But its a nice layout with large icons and god colour combination. SEOwise, it’s decent and suits for all type of bloggers.
  5. A1 Beach Wordpress Theme
A very clean and stylish (well, almost) looking theme with a nice header. It’s again one of those often seen themes around, but is a very good one for easy maintenance. Like all the themes listed above, this one too is intended for beginners.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Listdown Categories. This one appears to be worth investigating.
