I like most people use wordtracker as well, I do find that if I am looking for longtails, keyword elite set to pull phrases from ask.com seems to work pretty well. LSI is always interesting as well, although I am not sure how convinced I am that its a major issue. I find sites that allow reviews and commenting work well for KW research as well, online retailers etc. Good base for keyword research.
