Elaine RamosThe Definition of Blogging

Written by Elaine Ramos from Good Recruits on January 28, 2008

Some people are still clueless about blogging and whenever you mention that word, there are times wherein you would get a “blank face” staring at you and wondering what you are trying to say.

Whenever I encounter this kind of situation, I often say that blogging is like Pringles, “Once you pop, you can’t stop.” Of course, some people are often confused with this reply and if they find it so, I put on my “teacher mode” and lecture them about the two basic blogging categories. If you are guilty in behaving like this, then you better start reading this blog.

Blogging is more than just sharing your day to day experiences. If your goal is to earn a larger amount of money when blogging, the chances of having your personal blog earning is rather small as compared to the other type of blogging. On the other hand, if you are just looking for an avenue to express yourself then this approach would be appropriate for you.

There is also niche blogging which is a different thing from personal blogging. Niche blogging focuses on one general topic and providing information, advice, news, and other things for this topic. The more unique your topics is, the higher the chances of this blog becoming an income-generating one. Of course, with this kind of blogging-research would be your best ally.

Anyway, here is my own definition of blogging. How about you, how do you define blogging? :?:
