Several months ago I was invited to join a private community of bloggers at Performancing. Thanks to networking at Performancing Hive I received a couple of very lucrative blogging gigs plus tips for improving my blog. The fine folks at The Hive are also quite helpful in offering SEO and monetizing tips. There’s even a marketplace. Though I wasn’t sure how this private community could help me, I’m glad I joined as it’s been an invaluable experience.
Performancing Hive is opening its doors to the general public. Now anyone who is truly serious about blogging can join in the discussion, share ideas and learn helpful tips of the trade .But there’s a catch…In order to keep out spammers and trolls, Performancing Hive costs $10 a month to join.
I know, it’s a lot of money and I’m not here to sell you on anything. I will say this, I enjoy brainstorming with people who are serious about blogging. All members are true professionals and unlike some of the other forums I’ve joined, no one is trying to sell me an e-book.

Deb - as a fellow member of the Hive, I can only echo your recommendation. $10 isn’t really a lot of money when you consider this is an exchange of valuable information - a place where you can get questions answered and know that the members who are there are serious about blogging. Free sites are a dime a dozen but to me, the investment it small considering the value of return on investment.
And memberships are tax deductible
