I don’t know how people really feel about Twitter, but I have been using Twitter for a few months now and the more I use it the more I like it. It can be quit addicting to post (tweet) things and read things that others are tweeting. But the real advantage I’ve found is finding and sharing things with others. It’s a great way to gain new readers of your blog.
One question that comes up quit often is, how do I get people to follow me on Twitter? It’s actually very easy to get started using Twitter. First, sign up for an account and start following others. Once your following people, many will start following you in return. It’s a great way to at least get the attention of others. Next you start tweeting and replying to tweets which is where the real conversations get started. Then over time more people will follow you. Another way to get people to follow you is to provide your Twitter link on your blog to make it easy to be found.
Once you have started building your Twitter network you can post links to your blog posts or anything else your Twitter following might find interesting.
When I first started Twittering I thought what a waste of time this is, little did I know I just needed to be a little patient. Since then I have discovered quit a few big names that are using Twitter effectively. I have also discovered some great new Podcasts and blogs that I frequent. If this is something that interests you, sign up for an account and start building your Twitter network to promote yourself and your blog. To help you get started feel free to follow me here and I will follow you in return.
Looking forward to your tweets.

Another great point is that Twitter gets crawled by search engines and is ranked by Google. So the content of your twitter posts or “tweets” can wind up in reader’s search results and your twitter profile can help you with page rank.

I am starting to see what Twitter can do.
I must say that for the past couple of months I haven’t seen much happen with Twitter but I do believe Ed Dale so I stuck with it and just in the last week I have seen the number of followers I have start to grow.
It does work.
As of today I am going to start listing the helpful things I find while browsing and reading the rss feeds I am subscribed to and put them on Twitter for my followers to see.
It’s one social media platform I’ve yet to figure out or master. Thanks for these tips because they will help me get followed much more!
