Things I learned about Blogging in 2007
As my first post in 2008 on BloggingTips I thought I would share some of the things that I learned about blogging in 2007. So here are a few things reflecting back on 2007.
You don’t have to be the best writer to blog - I’m speaking from experience here. Writing is something I enjoy doing, getting better at it is something I continue to do. If you have something to say then start blogging and your writing will improve over time.
You meet the best people in the world by blogging - Your blog is a social place. And through it you will meet some of the most interesting people in the world. Conversations will start through your posts and the comments you receive and carry on to other blogs, and websites around that Internet.
Blogging is just going to get bigger - Some still say that Blogging is just a fad and will eventually die. I think advertisers, big media and the world for that matter realizes that Blogging is here to stay and is only going to get bigger. I’m sure there will be changes in Blogging but you can count on the Blogosphere remaining in tact for a long long time.
Feeds are addictive - Over the last year I’ve subscribed to a ton of feeds. I can’t seem to get enough information these days. The good thing is my feed reader helps me manage all this information.

This is very good to know especially for beginners. I have concerns with my writing initially but it seems that the writing can be improved very fast. Also through blogging, I learn so much from other bloggers, discovered so many interesting websites. I just started to get hooked on feeds too.
Some study showed most of small business rely on websites to promote their products. And blogging will be one of the best ways to promote their websites and products. Recently blogs are going to mainstream such as New York times. However, at this time, the main players in blogs are in technology. With more and more people go into blogging, I would see a booming in blogs in all ways of life.
