Thank you kindly for the information, Michael.

With regards to contacting people who comment on your site, in your opinion, which is better form - to email them personally or visit their to visit their blogs (if they have one) and leave a comment?

Cheers

Ramkarthik, thanks very much! One great thing about StumbleUpon is how you can message other stumblers. I get more traffic from SU than everything else, and it has the lowest bounce rate out of any other referrer.

Michael, Good points. For me, Social media has worked great for me. StumbleUpon is one another site that has helped me to contact Pro Bloggers. I have talked with many people in StumbleUpon.

I also send emails to bloggers when they write a great post.

Thanks, Nick! Responding to comments is vitally important. Responding and sending emails does take time, but is worth doing when you first start out and then once in a while thereafter. If you get too busy for people, at some point they won't feel inclined to comment or to contact you.

Not only have I expanded my personal network by directly contacting people, I've made business deals and gotten new clients for blog coaching this way.

Hi Michael,

Yes, many blogs are read by other bloggers. Particularly, blogs on blogging itself has to respect other bloggers.

I am responding to each and every comment on my blog personally, even it requires just a thank you note. (Of course, I do not get more than 10 comments in a day).

I do select blogs at random to visit, read and leave a word of feedback there. I am taking part in some forums. But, slowly all these activities consume much time. With my blog also growing, I find it difficult to manage time between all these daily routines. Being a part-time blogger makes it worse.

Appreciate your good post putting together all pieces of basic information required for every blogger.

Regards.
