Knowing what the going rate is helps. Unless you have the experience and skills to set your price, most "blogger for hire" jobs only pay between $5 and $20 per post. Keep an eye on job boards for pro bloggers, such as at problogger.net.

bloggers for hire- this sounds very common these days. I see this term in many webmaster related blogs. How ever good the writer may it all boils down to research. If you are blogging about adsense then there is ni meaning hiring someone who is good at many things. he can never provide the same quality as you will bring.

So always it's better to write yourself when you are writing for your readers because they come to your blog to read your experience and not others. you can very well hire someone when you are writing for search engines. this is my personal opinion

Underestimating your worth is something I would think might be common with newbies to any particular area too. I had someone want me to write a high quality article for $20. My price was $100.

We could meet in the middle somewhere but the quality they wanted I knew would take a few hours at minimum to complete, so that would put my hourly rate below minimum wage?

Know your experience, and your hourly worth ahead of time. :)
