Although the technical barriers have dropped quite a bit, we're still at the point where if you want to become serious about blogging, you should know some of these basics. Even people who don't think of themselves as being "technical" are surprised at what they are capable of learning and doing. I just coached a client of mine over the phone the other day through creating a database, and configuring and installing WordPress, none of which she had ever done before! Now she has a blog and she plans on creating several more, so soon she'll be able to it herself without my help. It's very empowering to know this stuff and to be able to care of things yourself. :D Thanks, Marco! I think there are many many bloggers who just - yes blog - and might not even care about the technical background, because they don´t need to know.
