Although the technical barriers have dropped quite a bit, we&#039;re still at the point where if you want to become serious about blogging, you should know some of these basics. Even people who don&#039;t think of themselves as being &quot;technical&quot; are surprised at what they are capable of learning and doing. 

I just coached a client of mine over the phone the other day through creating a database, and configuring and installing WordPress, none of which she had ever done before! Now she has a blog and she plans on creating several more, so soon she&#039;ll be able to it herself without my help. It&#039;s very empowering to know this stuff and to be able to care of things yourself. :D</description>

		<description>Michael, great insight. I think there are many many bloggers who just - yes blog - and might not even care about the technical background, because they don´t need to know. But it´s really useful to understand how something works, especially if it sometimes stops working.  :sad:</description>
