When I looked back, I smiled to myself. When I first started blogging, I did many silly mistakes. I don't understand the people all around the world and people might see me as dumb.

I am in my small small world for 16 years (I started when I was 16) and when I go wandering on the Internet, the users just don't care who I am. My firsts will remain as the best memory of mine in blogging.

Heh. Blogging firsts sure do make me smile.

The excitement of receiving comments as well as fan mail is what really drives me and puts a smile on my face. In all honesty, I get a far bigger kick out of knowing people are reading and enjoying my blog than I do receiving a pay cheque from the site.

My first beer money was exciting, just because it made me feel people actually cared enough to send me some money. Not so much the money, but because they cared enough to go through the labor-intensive process of using PayPal to pay me.

As strange as it sounds, the day I started seeing Akismet spam protection have to do some work was quite fun too. Once you start pulling in 20 spam messages an hour which Akismet catches, you know your blog is starting to make a few small ripples through the Web. :)

Watching my FeedBurner numbers grow is always fun too. I remember when I passed 20. The first week was't too exciting because it grew rapidly (I was able to spread the word of the launch very well). As a result, that rapid growth almost made an increase in subscribers seem very normal. Now that things have joined a steady pace, it's always exciting to see the number grow.
