Do you remember the first time that your first published your blog entry? How about the first time you learned how to incorporate images in your blogs?
These instances are just some of the “Blogging firsts” which leaves you giddy whenever you remember it. I’m going to share some of my blogging firsts with you:
My first blog posts - My blog posts was full of nonsense and it was at least 400 words or longer. I felt that I was already a professional blogger by then but I was proved wrong as I go about the blogging world.
My first eligible comment - Receiving your first real comment which does not start sounding like a drug is very overwhelming and a very important milestone in every blogger’s career. It just means that someone is reading your blog aside from you and a bunch of your friends and family which you constantly nag in order for them to read your blog.
My first Blogging payment - Just like in every job, receiving a pay-out for blogging deserves a celebration! Blogging is something which I am very passionate about and receiving monetary benefits is an added bonus!
My first “fan” mail - This is the same as the comment but someone sending an email to you just to say that you are wonderful is very flattering yet humbling. This kind of feedback in the blogging world inspires me to keep on writing and be creative as possible.
My first contradicting statement - Some people might love your blog and there are also people who hate your blog and constantly criticizes your posts. This is inevitable in the blogosphere but when I am starting out, this fact was not introduced to me. The first time I received this kind of feedback, I took it personally but you learn from this experience and the most important thing here is to still have respect yet not compromising your own opinion.

Heh. Blogging firsts sure do make me smile.
The excitement of receiving comments as well as fan mail is what really drives me and puts a smile on my face. In all honesty, I get a far bigger kick out of knowing people are reading and enjoying my blog than I do receiving a pay cheque from the site.
My first beer money was exciting, just because it made me feel people actually cared enough to send me some money. Not so much the money, but because they cared enough to go through the labor-intensive process of using PayPal to pay me.
As strange as it sounds, the day I started seeing Akismet spam protection have to do some work was quite fun too. Once you start pulling in 20 spam messages an hour which Akismet catches, you know your blog is starting to make a few small ripples through the Web.
Watching my FeedBurner numbers grow is always fun too. I remember when I passed 20. The first week was’t too exciting because it grew rapidly (I was able to spread the word of the launch very well). As a result, that rapid growth almost made an increase in subscribers seem very normal. Now that things have joined a steady pace, it’s always exciting to see the number grow.

When I looked back, I smiled to myself. When I first started blogging, I did many silly mistakes. I don’t understand the people all around the world and people might see me as dumb.
I am in my small small world for 16 years (I started when I was 16) and when I go wandering on the Internet, the users just don’t care who I am. My firsts will remain as the best memory of mine in blogging.
