Blogging Tips

If ever I feel so caught up in all the muddle of blogging life, I make myself go back in the beginning. A place where I consider the most important part of my blogging life. My fellow writer here in Blogging Tips, Deborah Ng (which I idolize ) also asked a similar question a week ago: Why do you blog? I decided to alter it a tiny bit for my blog post for this day.

What made me blog? Well, there are several reasons why I wanted to blog and some of these reasons are not that altruistic because of just being practical. I made a list of several factors which actually motivated me to blog and to still continue with it:

Passion for Writing – Writing is all about the glory of the pen but in blogging, it is actually the glory of your keyboard. If you are a person who is keen on making it big in the writing since, you got to start early and practice. What better way to start than through blogging? It’s free and certainly easy to learn. You could consider blogging as your stepping stone for something new and if you are lucky, this could be the your one-way ticket to your ultimate dream.

Freedom – Your blog is your blog. Regardless of what people think about it, you still have control over it. You could say something normal writers would not say in their column because of certain restrictions but if you blog about it, these restrictions would not be applicable. If the readers don’t like it they would surely react which leads us to the next reason.

Exposure – Everyone in the Internet could become someone either incidentally or intentionally. The 15 minutes of fame does not necessarily focus on TV alone because with blogging, it becomes a different ball game. If you are happy in embracing the limelight, being unique is something which you need to work on in order to stand out.

Money – Of course blogging is fun but if you are paid to do it, it’s twice the fun!

Anyway, those are my reason on why I blog. I’d like to throw the same question do you guys, What made you blog?
