Nintendo Contractor Fired for Blogging
Jessica Zenner, a 33 year old contractor for Nintendo, was sacked last week for having a personal blog. Her blog was essentially just an online diary of her life as a mother, wife and employee of nintendo (visit her blog here).
Nintendo’s stance was that ‘Nintendo doesn’t bar employees from having blogs, but we generally don’t encourage them’.

Dmoz blog launched
2 days ago I posted about how Google may have dropped Dmoz listings for their search results. I found out last night via Search Engine Land that Dmoz have launched an official blog.
Finally a place to tell Dmoz who corrupt their editors are! (Do you think they’ll listen)

Downed blogger Murray vows to continue Usmanov attacks
A former UK ambassador to Uzbekistan has vowed to continue his blog and making allegations towards billionaire Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov. His host, Fasthosts, removed his blog when the billionaire’s lawyers contacted them however this action has been slammed by some bloggers (See here).
It’s an interesting story and another example of how much controversy can be sparked using blogs.
