My Introduction and Why I Write For So Many Blogs

Posted by on 21st Sep 2007 Blogging 6 comments

Hello all, I am Chris and I am a new blogger here. You might have seen it mentioned recently that I am going to be joining this blog. As well as this blog you can find my articles on a variety of sites such as my own blog about blogging and online marketing, posts about writing at copyblogger, and web2.0 and productivity at Codswallop.

When I start writing for a new blog it is often met with surprise. Don’t I already write for a ton of blogs already? Well, yes, but I have never let that stop me!

First of all I enjoy it, and secondly it is good marketing. Third, I even get paid sometimes, how cool is that?

People can spend entire careers doing something they hate just to make ends meet. If you find something that you like to do then work becomes less of a chore and more fun that you get paid for.

A large part of success online is about networking. Through my writing I have met some great people and those connections have provided me opportunities I would never have even sniffed at otherwise.

So blogging is fun, helps you meet new people, is a great way to promote yourself, and you can even get paid for it.

Why wouldn’t I blog everywhere I can?

Kris wrote a post on where you can find writing gigs. As he and Ferris Bueller say, I recommend picking one up :)

A professional blogger and internet marketing consultant.

Great to have you here Chris :)

Does blogging take up the majority of your time on the web? :)

Actual writing on blogs takes up a good portion, but when you add all the other activities blogging involves, and the fact most of my clients want help with blogs, then yeah I would say the majority of my time is spent blogging. I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Having said that according to this I am not as addicted as I thought ;)
