I work as a journalist, a music critic, a copywriter, an event planner, a travel writer, a teen magazine writer, and a professional blogger. Believe me when I say there is no better writing gig than getting paid to blog. I can use an informal, personal style. I can crack jokes. And most of my blog editors (including Kevin; thanks, Kevin!) give me a tremendous amount of freedom when it comes to choosing topics and crafting a “voice.” As Ferris Bueller might say, “it is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.”
Interested? Of course Craigslist is always a great option for small writing gigs, but here are a few more places you might try picking up a contract to blog for cash:
Deborah Ng’s blogging job listings
Uber Jobs (I think this site is just starting out)
And a few sites that sometimes list blogging jobs:
Let me know if you have other resources you’d like to share.

BloggerJobs is a good site.
Have you used these sites to get writing gigs before?
p.s. don’t forget the ProBlogger Job Board

For other opportunities in writing content, you could also check out some of the webmaster forums like Digital Point. If you have quality, you’ll find business.

thanks for the plug Kevin - our job boards have a nice stream of ads on them - although it’s probably worth noting that there are more bloggers looking for jobs than people looking for bloggers - so you’ve got to be quick when you see a job advertised!

Yeah I found that myself. I may launch another blog in the next 6 months (non web dev related) and I’ll definately be using the pro blogger job boards to get some writers in.
