NorthxEast is up for sale

One of my favourite blogs, North X East, is up for sale at SitePoint. The auction started off very low so I placed some bids myself but the auction price quickly went higher and higher (and rightfully so).

North X East is for sale

The latest bid is $3,500 but with 2 weeks to go I can see this site going for at least 5 figures. Best of luck to Collis Ta’eed with the sale, here’s hoping he gets a good price for it :)

Let’s hope the new owner continues the great work that Collis started.

I can’t believe they made such little money with so many subscribers and traffic.

  2. Kevin says:

Im sure it will get a good price. There are a lot of bidders and there’s still two weeks to go so I suspect it will go for at least $xx,xxx

  3. Tibi Puiu says:

i think it will go up to 15.000$ and yeah 200$ is very little for the kind of traffic and subscribers they have. Very bad marketings from behalf of the owner.

  4. Collis says:

    Thanks Kevin!

And yeah, thats my fault that it wasnt making much, I know how to get traffic and people but making money isnt my strength :-) I guess well see what the next guy does with it!

  5. Wallace says:

    up bid to $4,500 now…

  6. Kevin says:

    now at $5,000

I definately see reaching 5 figures

By the way Collis, do you have any plans after this project (ie. when you sell this site)?

  7. Wallace says:

Kevin, i think Collis should buy you a cup of coffee, right?!

  8. Wow, I’m shocked to see it being sold. I’m also a little surprised to see it not generating much revenue, but then again the sparsity of revenue generating clutter is probably why people are so drawn to it.

  9. TextAdSearch says:

Was keeping a eye on the sale myself but have been away for the last 4 days. Went from nothing to something in such a short time.
