One of my favourite blogs, North X East, is up for sale at SitePoint. The auction started off very low so I placed some bids myself but the auction price quickly went higher and higher (and rightfully so).
The latest bid is $3,500 but with 2 weeks to go I can see this site going for at least 5 figures. Best of luck to Collis Ta’eed with the sale, here’s hoping he gets a good price for it
Let’s hope the new owner continues the great work that Collis started.

I can’t believe they made such little money with so many subscribers and traffic.

Im sure it will get a good price. There are a lot of bidders and there’s still two weeks to go so I suspect it will go for at least $xx,xxx

i think it will go up to 15.000$ and yeah 200$ is very little for the kind of traffic and subscribers they have. Very bad marketings from behalf of the owner.

Thanks Kevin!
And yeah, thats my fault that it wasnt making much, I know how to get traffic and people but making money isnt my strength
I guess well see what the next guy does with it!

now at $5,000
I definately see reaching 5 figures
By the way Collis, do you have any plans after this project (ie. when you sell this site)?

Kevin, i think Collis should buy you a cup of coffee, right?!

Wow, I’m shocked to see it being sold. I’m also a little surprised to see it not generating much revenue, but then again the sparsity of revenue generating clutter is probably why people are so drawn to it.

Was keeping a eye on the sale myself but have been away for the last 4 days. Went from nothing to something in such a short time.
