Being a new blogger is not necessarily a bad thing. Sure, you have to start on the ground floor, but this will give you the chance to build your blog the way that you want. Every move that you make is on your shoulders, and if the right decisions are made, success will be right around the bend.
New bloggers should have one thing in mind: keep things basic. When you are trying to build your blog the last thing that you need is to get bogged down with superlative details. Instead, stick to the basic details that will help you to successfully build onward and upward.
So what does basic blogging mean? Well, here are three things that new bloggers should keep basic:
1. Your posts should be interesting, but early on, do not do anything to put people off. Well known bloggers have the following to make controversial posts and get away with it. Newbies on the other hand need to make sure that they are offering basic, solid information. Being too controversial early on may put people off. And for a new blogger this can be a huge hit.
2. Even though your design does not have to be basic in the way of looks, it should be something that you and your readers are comfortable with. Overdoing your design can make your blog hard to follow.
3. Keep your monetization streams basic. In fact, you may want to keep these out of the equation until you are more established. When you begin to add revenue streams your blog will be anything but basic. Think of it this way: if you do not have any traffic yet there is no reason to look into monetization. This will just cause clutter.
These three tips will help new bloggers to keep things basic.
