Quality or Quantity
This could be considered as a universal debate which joins the ranks of nature vs. nature, chicken or egg 
and the like. This argument could also be applicable when it comes to blogging.
Most blogs often have a regular schedule of posting but the problem here is the relevance or quantity of the blog posts. Some of the blog posts could just a lump of words that are not making sense but are just there to fill up the space. On the other hand, some blogs only have a couple of blog posts but the meaning and relevance of the blog posts are rich. As blog readers, which blog would you visit more?
I’ve listed down some of the advantages of both quality blog posts and quantity blog posts. Here is my list:
Quality Blog Posts:
-Being more personal
-High chances of reader interaction
-Informative
-Additional merit as an “expert” for certain topics
Quantity Blog Posts
-Being up-to-date
-New content everyday
-More readers and site visitors
-High chances of page rank
There are also disadvantages when concentrating only in these two aspects. For quality blog posts, the chances of loyal audience could slip because there is no content everyday. On the other hand, quantity blog posts could also lead to the decrease of relevance in every blog posts.
Personally, I make it a point to update my blogs everyday and make sure that my posts are relevant and up to date. It is rather hard to keep your blog updated everyday and to maintain the same quality. The most important thing here is that you know what you are writing so that it would be of value and finding a schedule that would be suitable for you.

Quantity over quality.
Of course if there is no quality, there's no reason for reading the blog in the first place. But when the basic quality is in, I think you shouldn't work too hard in getting the absolute best quality imaginable.
Okay, some posts aren't as great as others. But that's OK.
Actually I think it's even better to write both great and "not quite so great" posts as that keeps the blog interesting.
In some posts you can express a simple idea that reveals something personal about you and then in some other post you can work harder to polish your image as the leading expert.
But if you only write posts that make you looking like the super expert, your text easily becomes too dry. It becomes more like a text book than a blog.
I think a blog should have a feeling of "life" in it. It needs to be just a bit rough edged. Not too polished. Pro, but not too Pro.
Quantity – as long as it's uesful – over Quality. I try and blog every day and still get a bunch of visitors. I try and save my important posts for Friday, give them a weekend to generate feedback.
I think it depends on what stage your blog is in. If you are just starting out, you need high quality posts to get readers to come back. Once they start coming back, they need lots of fresh content.
I'm leaning more towards quality. One interesting thing to consider is that quantity might actually overwhelm readers. I check Google Reader multiple times a day, but imagine a reader who only checks it every few days.
I think one of the things every blogger should try to master is having a high quantity of posts that are all good quality. Then the reader can have both. But if there could only be one, I think quantity is important. No one would visit a blog if it didn't have some amount of quality. And if I were reading a blog and they didn't post often, I wouldn't come back.
