I also find that if you are using wordpress it is best to use the post date function, so that posts are actually published and off your mind, they just don't display until the post date you set. That way if you can't make it to your PC your blog still gets it's post when planned.

Nice heads-up article. I usually "force" myself one night a week to prepare up to 10 articles scheduled to publish one a day. Stopped doing this in june, publishing one article a week that month. I saw traffic dropping by almost 50%

if i have time, i usually prepare 2-3 posts and separate them for one day one post. and most of my readers come from US and Europe, so i would also need to choose a suitable time for the most exposure.

Great advice, Chris. I've had trouble with my posting schedule before but lately I've been trying to kick it up a notch and stay on top of things. And I agree with you 100%, if you post everyday and then go down to once every four days or once a week, your readers will notice and might stop reading your blog if it's going downhill. :)

Good post. Sporadic posting isn't good for a blog. It's better to drop your posting rate if you cant stick to your current one :)

Good tips. I keep planning on trying out the schedule option, but end up thinking, heck, I'll just post it now!
