I’ve noticed that some bloggers do not have any details of the author on their posts. Even if all the blog posts are all written by the same person on a blog I still like to see the name of the author attached to posts. At Blogging Tips I have the name of the author at the top and at the bottom of a post so that everyone knows who wrote the post. I used to assume that if a blog which posts daily had no updates for a few weeks then subscribers would start unsubscribing. I now believe that assumption to be completely wrong.

To help explain why my view on this has changed please take a look at John TP’s Blog. John has recently had problems with power cuts and has been unable to post as often. I’ve known about StumbleUpon for a long time but I never used it on a regular basis. I have been speaking with Elizabeth from Table for Five about her blog the last few days. Elizabeth is hoping to increase her pagerank to 5 in the next few months. One of the first things I noticed about her blog was the amount of clutter in the blog design, infact I’ve noticed this on a number of blogs recently.
