I’ve noticed that some bloggers do not have any details of the author on their posts. Even if all the blog posts are all written by the same person on a blog I still like to see the name of the author attached to posts. At Blogging Tips I have the name of the author at the top and at the bottom of a post so that everyone knows who wrote the post. I think that it’s important to let people know the name of the author so that they can refer to them when leaving a comment or linking to the post.
In addition to this I usually sign off my posts with my name as well, regular readers should have noticed this. For example, I would end the post with ‘Thanks for reading, Kevin’ or ‘Good luck, Kevin’. Perhaps I shouldn’t be adding this at the end of my posts sincethere is already a note of the author under the post but I like to keep things friendly 
I encourage you all to update your blog themes to show the author of your posts, don’t be a stranger

Important one Kevin. The main purpose of writing a guest post is to get them familiar with the readers of that blog in which the guest post is done. If we don't give the author any credit, surely it is not going to be any worth for them.
I haven't got anyone to write for my blog till date and I too haven't written for any blog till now. Maybe if you say Yes I'll write one for your blog.
But surely we have to mention the author.
I didn't write this post with guest posts in mind, obviously noting the name of the author is important with guest posts however specifically I was talking about bloggers who have no reference to themselves on the blog post itsself ie. if you come across a page through a search engine and there is no note of the author, you need to go to the about page to find out who wrote the post
Oh I understand. Yes I agree. I didn't think like that because I'm blogging with blogspot and I have about me in my front page itself.
What do you think of my signature on posts, Kevin? I get many comments on it, but do you think it builds an identity??
In the past i found it "unnecessary" and so some time ago i removed the author tag from my blog, but sinds i've red this post, i have put it back!

I really think that because the author name is mentioned so its really not required to sign off the post. That's my personal opinion only.

ReviewSaurus – I'm surprised more people haven't voiced this opinion. I expected everyone to tell me to stop signing off my posts because my name was already there!
Unless you sign off with some kind of catch phrase "Say hi to your mum for me" I don't think it's necessary. I never noticed your sign off because I never read it.
