So I was off work and surfing and found this place and thought I would join up. I don't have much more to say right now except I need to start reading some of the older posts to get up to speed before I can start posting.

As usual, you're spot on here, Kevin.

Sometimes it can be very difficult to post every day, and I think it's important to put things into perspective.

Let's face it, nobody is going to sit there with their pointer poised over the unsubscribe link, ready to fire if someone skips a post!

Thanks for posting this. I can't post on my blog as often as I would like, and get mad at myself for not posting as often, even though there are things that I cannot control that get in the way of working on my blog. Thanks!

I agree with Emma. It may so happen that the quality of the post is affected by the frequency of posts....

However, if you are credible enough blogger, it shouldn't be a problem.

I disagree with that Benedict. I dont believe increasing your post frequency by a lot will lose you a lot of readers. I've went from 1 or 2 posts a day to 3 or 4 posts on some days and if anything the number of subscribers has increased :)

Nice analysis with JohnTP's blog! Dropping in post frequency will not affect the subscribers count but tremendous increase in post count will lead many users to unsubscribe.

How interesting, I wrote a very similiar post.

<a href="http://bloggerforlife.com/being-consistent-a-key-to-a-good-blog/#comment-80" rel="nofollow">http://bloggerforlife.com/being-consistent-a-key-...</a>

However, my position was that posting regularly is important but my angle is that your constitent. Meaning that you don't have to post everyday but how many ever post you decided to do a week you should stick with that amount consitently to set readers expectations.

I'm thinking that regular post daily maybe less important for larger blogs that have already estiblished them self and more important for new blogs that are trying to make their way.

This just happened to ShoeMoney, he didn't post but the readers were still there. I disagree with the guest blogging posts, because it gives someone else a chance to share a popular platform and get some readers while the main honcho is out. I see it as a win-win for everyone. The tips on this site have been excellent every since I started reading, very helpful for young bloggers.

Good analysis Kevin. I have been watching JohnTP blog and yes as you said, there has been no decrease in subscribers.

I used to make one post a day. But now I'm posting two posts a day which has doubled my traffic and increased my blog subscribers too.

I see that you too post two articles a day. But sometimes there are three.

Thanks Kevin. Right now I have a goal of 1 post a day for 30 days. But I'm already taking shortcuts. With little posts and brief updates. After I've met my 30 day goal I will be cutting back on posts. Sometimes quality content takes a while to get together.

At my blog my team and I had the same problem. So we agreed to slow down a bit making one post every 2 day. We are in four, so that make the things more easy.
When we can't post the subscribers don't leave but the visits go down very fast. I Think that is because we are really new.

I agree about how bloggers should be controlling their posting frequency and not the other way around. This is nice to think about.
