$200 Forum referral competition
I thought I would use this months competition to promote the Blogging Tips Forums. The competition is incredibly easy.:)
All you need to do is refer new members to the forums using your referral code. The top 4 referrers will each get $50 via paypal. Thats it! Your unique referral link code can be found here (you need to be signed in). The code will look something like http://www.bloggingtips.com/forums/index.php?referrerid=X where X is your unique ID. You need to refer people using this code so that I can track who is referring the most members.
Unfortunately, there are always some people who try and cheat in these competitions so to ensure it is fair I have set the following rules :
- Members referred with less than 2 posts will not qualify as a referral
- Members referred with the same ip address do not qualify
- Anyone found trying to cheat will be disqualified from the competition eg. multiple sign ups and posts by the one person etc
The closing date for this competition is July 31st 2007.
I want the competition to be easy and fun, these rules are simply in place to stop someone spamming their way to the top. If you have any questions please let me know

Kevin, This is surely going to get you a lot of new visitors. It will get you equal number of visitors which the reviews got you. I like the new ideas you implement here.

this is a great idea. frankly I didn’t even know about the forum until this post. I have now signed up, posted my first topic, and have started actively promoting your forum. thanks again for the great blog and now forum.

Could I make a suggestion also that you put a link to your forum up in the side bar near categories as I think a lot of people like cmanlong may be missing the navigation at the top.

Tara - I already have a link to the latest forum posts in the sidebar. I’ve moved the list further up the sidebar so that more people see it
