Blogging Tips Authors – A brief update

Posted by on 7th Jul 2007 Site News 4 comments

I haven’t spoke about guest authors for a while at Blogging Tips however it’s something which I hope plays a big part in the success of the blog.

Although I am happy to have guest authors write a one-off post, I am looking more towards authors who can commit to writing on a more regular basis. Currently, Mani from Daily SEO Blog is the first person to commit to this. Mani’s blog has been active since September 2006 and has recently moved to a new domain. So far he has contributed 7 good posts to Blogging Tips and I’m sure there’s much more to come. :)

We have also had guest posts from :
Tara from Graphic Design Blog
Arstan from Jusupov
Small Potato from WP Designer
Shona from Rich Minx
Kumiko from Cash Quests
Carl from Carl Ocab
Andrew from Facibus

What kind of articles are you looking for?

I still want to get more non wordpress related posts covered here so I’m keen to get a dedicated author for Blogger related topics and perhaps even someone for wordpress too. I know that a lot of readers do not like technical type posts however I believe that there should still be some coding related topics here as most bloggers do not have a lot of experience with this kind of thing and I think that we could help them in that respect.

You can find more information about writing for Blogging Tips on our write for us page. Please do not be too disheartened if you are not accepted as an author. I am looking for a particular style of writing and experience for authors and I’m looking for certain subjects to be covered too.

You will notice that regular authors now have their link placed at the top of every page instead of the sidebar. This is a more prominent position for author’s blogs and it highlights the contribution that they make to Blogging Tips. Those who can commit to writing at least one post per week will get a link placed in this area. I may consider dropping this to two weeks if I can get several authors on board :)

I may be interested in blogging here some in the future. However, I am more interested in blogging about different parts of technology for now.

Did you mean to mis-spell the anchor text for facibus and jusupov? Helping them get the most from their type-in traffic?

I hope you find some more good authors. I've been enjoying the content so far and would love for it to continue.

This seems like a neat feature! I notice that I have a lot to talk about, so this would be a cool thing that would have a mutual benefit. Count me in.

Guest blogging is surely a good way to get many traffic to our blog and link backs. I might consider joining you Kevin. But the thing is that I should first have some great content in my blog. One day I might be an author here.
