Kevin MuldoonBack to HQ

Yesterday I arrived back home in Glasgow airport after 7 months+ of travelling. I had spent a month in Thailand, few days in Singapore, 5 weeks or so in Australia and 5 months in New Zealand before i decided it was time to start heading home. I absolutely loved New Zealand but the poor internet connections and approaching cold weather persuaded me it was time to start heading home and get back to working normal hours with my websites etc. On the way back home i spent 12 days in Japan and 6 days in Berlin. As you all know, there was a terrorist attack at Glasgow Airport at the weekend but thankfully when we flew Monday morning most flights were back to normal and our flight touched down at the time it should have.

I’ll post a few pics of my travels in the last 2 months in the next week or so but for now the main reason i am posting about this is to let readers know how it affects BloggingTips.

So how does all this affect Blogging Tips?

Well in brief it means that I will be returning to my regular (or rather irregular!) working hours and will be devoting much more time to the blog. Post frequency may increase a little but more importantly it means I can spend much more time with posts and hopefully you should see a rise in the quality of content here. It also means that i can help out Blogging Tips readers more with questions and problems. I’ve unfortunately been unable to do this as much as i would have liked in the past because my time has been a bit limited and i’ve had to concentrate on writing posts first.

I will always do my upmost to help readers and visitors here and will always respond to emails however from now on i would really prefer if most questions were asked in the Blogging Tips Forums. This is best for everyone concerned because :

  • With more bloggers seeing the problem, more bloggers can solve it!
  • I see a lot of the same questions coming up again and again. If questions are answered in the forums, bloggers can find the answers they want in past posts and i can refer them to blog and forum posts which have covered the topic before.
  • It makes my life a lot easier because everything is in the one place

There are a few bloggers who have asked me for help with blog upgrades in the last few weeks. I’ll do my best to help you all in the next week but bear in mind the next few days I will be a bit hectic to say the least. I need to buy a new phone and i’m also getting a new laptop as well, not to mention catching up with friends and family. However, i should still be able to help out so if you are looking for help just make a post in the Blogging Tips Forums and i’ll do my best to help.

Thanks for listening :)

Kevin

So you left New Zealand and headed for Scotland to find warmth and sunshine…

Welcome home to glasgow, i was up there yesterday.

  2. Kevin says:

i know…its a sad day when you come to Scotland for the weather!

  3. Rea Maor says:

Wow Kevin, how luck are you?
Getting to travel around the world and seeing all those amazing places,
do you earn money out of those trips or are you doing them simply because you can
allow yourself to work with your laptop and travel the world ?

  4. Kevin says:

I’ve still been making money via my internet websites during the whole time so i was in a good position. However, obviously i didn’t work as many hours and a lot of sites i own have suffered because of that. A price I had to pay but i don’t reget a thing – I love travelling and although it’s something i will probably do again at one point. :)

  5. Rea Maor says:

I think it would be cool if you share some Pictures with us… i’m sure you have lots of them.

  6. I hadn’t realised you lived in Glasgow. Welcome back from Edinburgh. How is the rain on the East coast?

  7. Kevin says:

I actually live in between (although it’s slightly closer to Glasgow). However, I did live and work in Edinburgh for a year in 2002/2003. :)

  8. Yes! The big guy is back and ready to start rocking and rolling!

  9. Next time, stop by Montreal bro! :)

  10. A new phone and laptop? Cool, happy shopping. Don’t worry about helping us in a hurry, get yourself settled down first
