I assume you purchased bloggingtips.com from a broker? How much was it?

I wish I had picked a domain with my keywords in it as well.

I do regret a bit that my website is GoddessCarlie.com. That has been my "nickname" on the interenet for quite a few years now, so that's why I got it. And I started with a sort of "random" blog. Now it is much more focused but too late to change the url. I guess I'll just have to build a lot of buzz around my name! I get a lot of hits from google, however, all related to the content on my site (I'm very excited - I'm third on google for a tv show I'm reviewing) so it doesn't matter so much to me. There are lots of websites with "Japanese" in their keywords so maybe I'll have some success for not having it in mine!

Your bang on Kevin. It will certainly be a challenge to consider a sale unless I become a rock star and someone wants to continue writing about me????

I think I have had some good success with Blog success also. I try having the few keywords in the title area to assist me in getting noticed within the search engines. You chose a topic that I have been meaning about. I think great minds really do think alike.

I had the opportunity to purchase success.tv and it might have been a better route now to think about it. Learning is half the battle I suppose.

As you know though Kevin I have some great ideas in the works and it's only a matter of time until the ideas become plans and then reality.

I wish everyone of your readers Success Online!

A good point. If you have a domain name as like stephenwelton.com and it has lots of backlinks I would give the blog a title with the prefered keywords. This means you can often get links with the title of the blog rather than your name. But, it is much better to start off with right keywords.

A little bit off topic...

Mind your spelling, Kevin.

Examples:

Writing "i" instead of "I" or leaving out necessary apostrophes like "ive" instead of "I've" or "blogs name" instead of "blog's name"...

It might come off nitpicker-ish since I am not a native English speaker myself (and probably doing countless mistakes all the time), but if you take blogging as a serious business, you better avoid poor spelling and bad grammar because their presence always conveys the impression that the author doesn't really care about proof-reading. Consequently, this lowers the overall quality of your blog post including the actual content itself.

This is my blogging tip for you. Hope you don't take it personal ;-)

Apart from that: Good, solid post.

Bye,
Celebrienne

P.S.: I find this blog is an excellent resource to improve one's writing skills -> http://www.dailywritingtips.com/
