JohnTP brought this to my attention today. Google have announced that you can now use 3 link units per page with Google Adsense. Previously, publishers were restricted to 1 link unit per page. I’m not sure why google have increased the number of link units but im not complaining!
This should be good news to the majority of adsense publishers, particuarly those who have some spaces available in their ad areas. On the whole i personally find these link units to be very flexible and blend much better with the content around it so click thru rates should be good.
If you have never used adsense link units before then take a quick look at the image i have posted below. As you can see, there is a lot of different box dimenstions to choose from which allows the ads to be displayed on most blog designs.
Will you be adding more link units to your blog pages?

I always wonder whether it is a good idea to use the ones that look like a tabs. Many visitors may click, but maybe a little annoyed that it is an add not part of site.

I have always had the three ad boxes but have totally forgotten to have the Link Units available. That must have been a new announcement because I read the Adsense terms in mid June.
