Kevin MuldoonNetBusinessBlog changes hands

I posted in the links roundup recently that NetBusinessBlog was being sold by the owner Matt Coddington.

The new owner appears to have a lot of experience in the web so im keeping the site on my feedlist. In my opinion, the value of a blog is tied greatly to the main author so it will be interesting to see the direction the blog goes and whether the new owner can continue the momentum Matt had with the blog.

The new owner joked that he bought NetBusinessBlog for $50,000 however the $13,000 it did sell for is amazing when you consider the blog wasnt even 5 months old and only had 188 posts when it changed hands. The fact the second highest bid was $10,158 shows how valuable a blog can become if you develop it.

Anyhoo, hope we see Matt involved in blogging in the near future and good luck to the new owner. Welcome to the Blogosphere! ;)

That’s a great result, I almost wonder how much mine would be worth… I’m only 14 posts short :-)

  2. That’s a fantastic amount. I’m wondering how much mine will be worth in four months time (well, my blog isn’t even a month old yet!). I would be very happy with that kind of sum! (although my niche is somewhat smaller and I am expecting it to take longer to become more valuable).

  3. Not a bad return on investment along side the revenue during his time working it himself.
