It is already blogged many times that blogger must backup his blog files and databases. So I’m not going to go in there, instead I’m going to blog about how to backup your files and documents on your PC. I’m sure it is as critical to you as backing up your blog files.
For this purpose I’m introducing you to Mozy for those who haven’t heard about it – they are offering online storage as backup media. Mozy gives free 2GB of online storage for your backups with no strings attached! If that’s not enough you can opt for Mozy Unlimited plan for $4.95/month!
They have implemented a Windows Application that will help you to configure and do scheduled backups from your Windows PC, Mac OS X. It’s pretty much easy to use, just install the software and follow the instructions.

With free version you can do almost same things as in paid version, with some limitations such as number of restores per month. Mozy uses differential backup method, this means that after the first backup done things will go faster, it will just backup the changes it finds.
This screenshot will show you the progress of the backup.
This is how you set your backup to schedule. Overall, it’s a great tool to have.

What about the Mac?
Does it works with any blogger provider?
Thanks for the headsup Arstan…downloading the free version of the program right now !!
Mac Mozy is available, but it’s under development. Still in beta stage.
I’ve been using the WP-DB Backup plugin for some time now.
Are there any significant advantages to Mozy over what I’m using?
Basically, this is to backup your files on your PC, not your blog. I hope you find it useful.
