Kevin MuldoonSome photos of my travels the last few months

Written by Kevin Muldoon from System0 on May 12, 2007

I decided to add a personal category to the blog so that the site has a much needed personal touch - damn thats cheesy!!!

Don’t worry - i wont be blasting you with personal problems and complaints but i will occasionally put a pic up showing you what ive been doing whilst ive been away from the pc. This post is being published on the day i go travelling around New Zealand for 3 weeks so when i get back i should have some good pics of that too :)

If you’ve read my about page you’ll know that I’ve been away from home for about 6 months now - ahh the beauty of being self employed through the internet! :) After this 3 week round trip of NZ im saving my pennies for a 2 months trip around South America! Thank you Mr TimeStamp!

Since i told everyone yesterday to make sure they enjoy themselves away from the laptop i thought it would be appropriate to post a couple of pics of my travels in the last few months.

Enjoy :)

I am extremely jealous, being a frequent traveller myself! Where did you do the white water rafting? River Valley?

    Wow you went to Thailand!

Koh Samui is my mom’s hometown
and I used to live there when I was a kid (not that long, though)
I was born in Bangkok and spend most of my life here :D

Khon Thai (thai people) love Farang (foreigner, called for westerner only)

Wow, really cool pictures man! It looks like you’ve been all over the place. Really nice to see the out of work blogger. Haha, livin the dream.

Anyways, I was just wondering, why do all you “Monetize Your Blog” authors have shaved hair? ShoeMoney, ProBlogger, John Chow (kind of ;)), and now you!

    Haha,

    Nice post,

alamster - i first went travelling 4 years ago and it was not too long after the bali bombing so we decided not to go (it was originally on our list of places to go)

CBB - ot was close to tauranga but we left from rotorua (which is where i am now)

nice from thailand - ive spent over 6 months in total in thailand. Ive stayed a few months in bangkok, 2 months in koh samui as well as chang mai, phuket, phi phi, krabi and kho pghan nan etc

love the place - its a country ill probably keep visiting til i die :)

matador - haha. well ive been doing it a few years. my hair started receding a little bit so i just thought stuff it and started skinning it. wish i did it years ago. it saves so much hassle! :)

looks like your pic on samui was taken at the scenic viewpoint between lamai and chaweng. that has recently been remodelled and now sports a new “western” friendly parking/walking/photo-taking area that is well lit and modern. now it almost looks like they want people to stop there, and they do, as evidenced by the food carts that now gather there to hawk there goods to the tourists.

Nice not being tied down to an office, yeah? haha

Love the pics. Riding the elephants isn’t as easy as it looks. The way they walk always makes it feel like you’re going to fall off.

Looks like the kind of trip I’m hoping to get scheduled sometime next year. Well, except for that climbing the Harbour Bridge part. I don’t do heights :-)
