About a month ago, John Chow posted a challenge on his website entitled ‘Make Money, Review my Blog‘. The general idea was that a blogger would link to his site with the search term ‘make money online‘ in 2 sentences he had pre written. In return he would then link back via posts on his blog. It should be noted that is blog is very popular and gets a lot of traffic.
To his credit, i don’t recall anyone doing something like this on such a scale in the blogging world…
Ive been meaning to join MyBlogLog for a while but never got round to it. I found a great site im sure you’ll ll like called JohnTP. SilentBits, another site im sure you’ll like, uses a theme released by John. John’s site shows the latest readers of his blog via MyBlogLog. I soon noticed that a lot of great blogs use them including Darren at ProBlogger.
So i decided to give it a try tonight and i must admit, it’s way better than i expected.
I wish i had joined this ages…
I was pleased at the number of downloads the themes i released got and i hope that everyone who downloaded the themes enjoyed them.
Whilst most people have kept the copyright links on there have been some who have removed the links.
……OK, I just found one but it was a bit dissapointing.
I hope to release more themes in the future and i hope that those who do appreciate the themes being released and keep the copyright links. I will try and not let the scammers put me off from releasing more…
Tim O’Reilly last week posted his ‘Call for a Blogger’s Code of Conduct‘.
He has since drew up his first Draft Blogger’s Code of Conduct 2 days ago. He makes a lot of interesting suggestions including ‘We won’t say anything online that we wouldn’t say in person.’.
Hope you enjoy the read.

Are you struggling to get traffic to your blog? Are your posts getting lost in the blogosphere?
No doubt there are other blogs which cover the same topic as yours. In some genres it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. Don’t be too disheartened though and try and think about what you can offer that other blogs don’t or simply can’t.
For example
- Write about topics which they haven’t covered yet
- Write about topics which you have specific experience about
- Perhaps inject some humour into your posts
You could easily expand the above…
